I just installed a 145 hour replacement drive for my 14-hour Philips TiVo from ptvupgrade.com. My TiVo recognized the new storage capacity upon startup. Everything looked good upon powering up my TiVo until it came time to run the Guided Setup. Every time I try to make the Setup Call, I get a "Failed. Couldn't connect" message when the modem attempts to dial out. My modem was working fine before I replaced the hard drive. I checked the phone line; it is working fine. I checked all of the dialing prefix parameters; they looked good as well. I can see an "extension in use" message on my cordless phone when the TiVo attempts to dial, so some connection must be getting made. Other than that, I am thoroughly stumped. I would appreciate any insight from the upgrade/replacement veterans on the board. Thanks in advance.

Not exactly sure why the upgrade is failing, but you might try putting the local UUNet dial-in number in your dialing prefix. You can find that number by searching UUNet's page - we have a link to it on our Links page (do a search for POP).

I tried to enter both of my local UUNet dial-in numbers (Columbus, OH) in the dialing prefix, but I am still getting the "Failed. Couldn't connect" message every time I attempt to dial out. I think I've tried every possible combination of phone option settings as well. Any other ideas?
