I saw the promotion and ordered Saturday night. I have an original tivo form xmas of 99 and have the grandfather clause working for me. So on Tuesday i see that if I use this offer i lose my right to use the grandfather one time transfer. So i figure what the heck i bite the bullet and bought a new sub for the 80 hour unit.

That way if the new wiz bang unit comes out i can buy it and transfer my old tivo service to it. Then I'll have 2 newer tivos for the cost of one sub and can still use my old tivo for the wife with a sub working on it until a new one i want comes out.

Beware that you will loose that grandfather transfer on the really old tivos if you use this offer.

So now I'm ready for the next generation tivo to come out :-)

You've paid for 1 subscription back in xmas of 99 and 1 now for the S2 80hr. that equals 2 paid subscriptions doesn't it?
