Muliple Series2 Units and subscriptions

I am studying the new Home Media option and have found that the subscription rules make perfect sense. Let me explain, then a question.

The first unit you subscribe will cost you $99, then each additional in the same household will cost you $49. This pricing scheme makes ALOT of sense to me.

My question is, why not extend that scheme to the Tivo TV subscription too! The only reason I don't have more than one TiVo (I love TiVo) in my house is I must pay full price for each additional unit even though they are in the same household.

TiVo, please surprise us all and offer a reduced subscription fee for each additional Tivo Series2 in the same household.

I totally agree!!!

Something like:

You must order the HMO to receive the price brake.

Main unit monthly $12.95
Additional unit monthy $8.95

and

Main unit Lifetime $299 (after March 3, 2003)
Additional unit Lifetime $199 (non transferable) to avoid a loophole if sold.

So basicly if you factor in the $99 plus $49 you gain more secondary sales while increasing market stickyness (loyal/captive customers)

Agree completely that TiVo is missing out on easy revenue by not offering existing SA TiVo owners a price break on the service for a second unit, especially since SA owners know that DirecTiVo owners can have as many TiVo's as they want for the price of a single service. As it stands now, I'm not about to pay for a second TiVo unit and service when I can use various cheap solutions to distribute content from my single TiVo to other systems in my house.
