Mac backup drive

Have MACs and have 3 different TIVO 1 DirectTV units and need to back or copy my main drive before adding 2nd drive. Have already Blessed and added a drive to a fourth unit, everything went great. But need to backup the copy of this one and the other three before progressing. I have loaded Linux on one of my MACs but cannot get it to recognize the TIVO drive. Any programs like the drive bless program(worked great) for copying the drive.

Nothing for Macs except BlessTiVo - and that's for swap only.

You can back up the drives w/o compression using a mac - though it takes some work.
FWB Toolkit in OS9, mount the drive in OS X (Using MountX?) using dd, or fix the kernel in linux to see the TiVo drive and use dd.
There is a post by v8q on the later (though with no details).
With MFSTools you can do it very quickly on a WinTel box and make a backup that fits on a CDR. I just use my free Pentium 200 class machine to do TiVo work and feed my MP3 player.
