Long season pass priority re-org even after upgrade

Hi all - I recently upgrade my series 2 40 hour unit to 186 hours (thanks to you all again). I was hoping that with will all this additional disk space, the amount of time that it took the tivo to reorganize itself after making a change to the season pass priority list would be much shorter. This is not the case. Why? Those two minutes are just about the longest 2 in my life ;)
Isn't there a better algorithm out there? Better yet, how about letting us make multiple season pass priority changes AND THEN rebuilding the schedule instead of doing after each change! Very frustrating.
On another note, after this upgrade I've noticed that recorded shows get the yellow warning dot just as quickly as before.. Hmm... How can I check for sure that this upgrade definitely worked besides checking the 'system info' which is now correctly displaying the updated number of hours? Sorry for the rambling.. Thanks

That would be controlled by the ram in the machine rather than the disk space available. In addition, you can make multiple season pass priority changes before it has to sort out the conflicts. It doesn't attempt to sort the conflicts until you try to leave the main season pass manager screen.

True, but having more disk space should ease the decision making process at least by a little, right? If I had an infinitely large hard drive, wouldn't tivo just have to start at the top of my season pass list and and go down recording everything? The time would be saved by tivo not having to worry about what to delete and when.

I thought sorting out the conflicts was the bulk of the decision making process. What other 'decisions' are being made? Doesn't tivo just start at the beginning at your priority list and work its way down?

It can take 10-15 minutes to finish on a Series1 Tivo, depending on what items are in the list.

In most cases, lack of disk space won't be a real consideration in a SP reorg, the ram and processor speed will be. The same decisions still have to be made as far as what should be recorded in each time slot whether the space is there or not. TiVo will still expire shows just as quickly as before but won't actually delete anything until it really needs the space.
