No link light with T-60 Turbonet

I'm trying to add a Turbonet card to my T-60, but I can't get a connection to my network. The link LED doesn't turn on. I'm certain the network line is operational. I was able to successfully flash the prom, and I've run the nic_install program (ver 20020728). The unit boots successfully, but I can't get a network connection. I hope there something I can try without getting a new TurboNet board.

Any ideas?

Hi,

Can you try a short network cable pulgged into a hub. If the light on the hub doesn't come on then unplug the tivo for 10 seconds and boot it up again.

If you don't have any joy, contact mark@9thtee.com and he will arrange a replacement.

I was able to use a short cable, but the Linksys router wouldn't show a link LED either. I've run the test procedures from the silicondust web site. The log did not show any error messages, but I don't know if the hex codes reported in the log were correct. Is there something special I need to do to have a Linksys BEFSR41 router see the TiVo network card?

Hi,

It sounds like the PHY is not comming out of reset properly... drop mark at 9thtee an email and he will sort out a replacement.
