I watched the first few episodes of this show and liked them alot. But in the last two weeks they bumped it out of its Monday 10pm timeslot in order to run ANOTHER show on Michael Jackson and a RERUN of the Bachelorette. WTF is going on here?
Did anyone else enjoy the show?
Is anyone else as annoyed with ABC as I am?

Yeah...and ABC wonders why they are always dead last in viewings each week...sheesh.
I feel your pain, but dont worry, Miracles isn't going anywhere anytime soon. It was sweeps week, so they had to compete with Fox and the two other bigshots. Miracles is back next Monday.
Eek...I just noticed you dont have a TV or TiVo...I think you have bigger problems than ABC to worry about. Where you watching the show at anyway? The bar? :)
j/k

My Hitachi 57TWX20B arrives on Thursday along with my HD converter box. :D
I went with cable over DirecTV because my cable company carries:
503 3 - CBS Hi Definition
505 Fox 29 Hi Definition
506 6 - ABC Hi Definition
510 10 - NBC Hi Definition
512 PBS National Feed Hi Definition
I was originally going to buy a HDVR2 for DirecTV but now that I'm sticking with cable for a while I don't know if I want a stand alone Tivo for twice as much money per month. I might be going without Tivo for a while. Probably something I shouldn't be saying on this board.

I love the show, but ABC isn't doing it any favors. Especially with the GOD awful Quest show as a lead in. Hopefully they will give a better intro show and maybe a better time slot. They have something with this one.

Uh, The Practice is (and always has been) the lead-in...

My bad, the Quest is actually before the practice. But the practice certainly isn't a powerhouse lead anymore. Not that ABC has one. It barely pulls over a 10 anymore. And it will be gone soon. Even ABC has said that.
ABC's "Practice" Pay Cut
Thursday January 9 12:45 PM ET

The Practice doesn't make perfect on ABC.
The Alphabet network is looking to slash the price they pay for the legal drama if programming execs decide to renew the series for next season.
A renewal deal negotiated a couple of years ago between the penny-pinching net and creator David E. Kelley set the series price tag at just over $6 million--still less than the whopping $13 million per-episode fee NBC pays for ER. But now, with ABC struggling in the Nielsens, network suits want to renegotiate the Emmy-winning series' license fee.

Network execs don't think the show's current ratings deserve the big bucks they'd have to lay out to bring the series back for a sixth season, despite the fact that The Practice is one of the few ABC shows to consistently place first in its time slot.
The Practice has averaged 11.8 million viewers this season and ranks at number 31, according to Nielsen Media Research. The legal wranglings of the Boston-based law office, led by Dylan McDermott as senior attorney Bobby Donnell, attracted 12.9 million viewers last season.
ABC's hardball play is the latest affront to TV's resident golden boy. Last month, ABC execs announced they would move The Practice from its proven Sunday night time slot to Monday night to make way for a midseason entry. Dragnet, starring TV vet Ed O'Neill, launches February 2.
This article came out before Joe crushed the practice. But what the heck is abc thinking. The Quest, The practice, and then Miracles. Those are three shows with nothing in common. I just wish we could have something that catered to the same audience base. This one is clearly all over the place.

Well, I think the potential audiences for Veritas and Miracles overlap considerably. But I agree, putting The Practice in between makes no sense whatsoever.

Lehigh,
I dont have a HDTV, however...
I went with my Digital cable over DirecTV for one reason. DirectTV didnt carry my local Comcast SportsNet here in Philadelphia, and with me being an avid Phillies Freak I couldnt bare to be without 80% of this seasons games. Its a shame DirectTV doesnt carry the Philly ComCast channel. Their loss.
Now, as for Miracles and Veritas...
Let me start by saying (puts on flame retardant suit) that I kind of dig Veritas.
NOW let me finish :)
I went into this show with the common sense that it was in an 8pm timeslot, meaning that they were trying to appeal to a younger audience than the 30 somethings. Keep in mind that Im 31, but I can see how they went after your 16-25ish group with the early slot.
As for the show, I like how its part Tomb Raider (the game, not that dreadful movie) and part Friday the 13th (the TV series, not the cheesy hacker flicks). The stories are slightly above average. If they could just stop with the pathetic story of father/son turmoils, and get on with why the badguys want what they want, or even who they may be...it would liven up a bit. Best show on TV? HELL NO. Fun show to watch? I think so. But thats my opinion.
However, I can definitely see where this show isnt for everyone, and I can easily see it not making the rest of the season out. Its a shame, because if the writers had taken it a different route, many others would be cheering it, instead of waiting for its demise.
Now Miracles...I truly love this show. Ive done my best to tell everyone I know (at work and at home) about this show, and each time the response is "What show called Miracles?"
The network has not only screwed with its early fanbase, but has lacked any kind of motivation to advertise this fantastic show. If the series continues on its course of intriguing stories and nice simple plot twists, it may rank up there with the likes of the X-Files with its cult following.
IF ABC stops abusing it, like a red-haired stepchild.
I dont want to sound like some silly fanboi or something, but If ABC axes Miracles, I am done giving ABC a chance. It is apparent to me now more than ever that ABC is run by bafoons.
They have even found a way to lay a show as fantastic as NYPD Blue into the depths of obscurity.
If only the network would read this website, they might have a nice eyeopener :(
