Can I use Ghost to upgrade?

I have a Philips DSR6000. I want to replace the existing single drive with a larger one. Can I just place the old drive in my PC and use Ghost (or another disk copying utility--suggestions anyone?) to mirror the old drive onto the new?
Thanks.

SixString,
Most folks use MFS tools for their upgrade, http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-v...&threadid=36974 . Read the Hinsdale how-to, it is the best documentation on upgrading. I would not recommend booting into windows with your Tivo drive attached.

SixString,
No you can't use ghost. I tried and it says there are no supported drives in the system.
If you put the original drive and new larger drive in your computer (primary and secondary slave, cd-rom secondary master for example), you can boot to the mfstools cd and then use the dd command to do a bit-by-bit copy from the old drive to the new. Those instructions are in the Hinsdale guide.
