Upgrade Sony SVR2000 40GB to 40hr

I have the 13 partition Sony that came with a 40GB drive but only provided 30hrs of recording time. I added a second drive but left the original alone since I didn't want to lose the recordings. Is there a way with MFSTools 2.0 to get the extra 10hrs back and still keep the recorded programs?
Thanks.

When you say you have a 13 partition hard drive what do you actually mean as i have the same unit
Thanks

How did you add the second drive?? Did you Bless it?? If you used mfsadd, it would have expanded the drive using the -x command. I believe you can still use mfsadd, and get the full space remaining.

Most series 1 TiVos came with drives that had 11 partitions. The SVR2000 that had the 40G drive came with 13 partitions. I never understood why but the fact that it had 13 and not 11 partitions made it incompatible with a lot of the TiVo tools at the time, circa 1/2002.

I added a second drive by blessing it and didn't touch the original drive. I'll look into mfsadd. Thanks for the suggestion.
