Adding a 2nd Hard Drive to Tivo that used to be a ReplayTV HD

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forum. I just purchased a used Philips Tivo HDR 312 off of someone and I would like to add a 2nd hard drive to it.

The hard drive I would like to add is from a ReplayTV 3060 unit. A few months back, I upgraded my ReplayTV hard drive which was 60GB to a 160 GB hard drive. In the meantime, I just held on to the original ReplayTV hard drive and did nothing with it. Now I would like to use it to add to my Tivo system using the Hinsdale instructions.

This 60GB drive probably has stuff on it (shows that were still saved from when I removed it).

Should I have any problems using this drive? Do I need to reformat the drive first?

Any comments or suggestions?

Thanks.

MFSTools 2.0 will take care of everything. :)

To expand, MFSTools 2.0 will disregard any data on the drive and overwrite it. Remember to make a backup!
