I network enabled my tivo. Works swell. Now I'd like to add a second drive. I poked around and couldn't find out if there's a way to do it by telnetting into the tivo. I'd rather not have to go through the hassle of pulling the drives out, installing in my PC, book disks blah blah. Something like, install the drive, telnet tivo, mount drive, done would be great.

The easiest is to purchase an upgrade kit, available through a couple different web sites. You just drop in the new drive, and turn on the TiVo. One vendor I've done business with and am very pleased with is at www.weaknees.com

If you want to use your own drive, or get one at your local computer store, you'll need to do the "install in PC, boot disks, etc...".
