Will this work to fix the power supply problems in a Series 2 upgrade?

I've got an old scsi drive enclosure, complete with a power supply sufficient for a hard drive. I'm thinking of putting that power supply into my TIVO, side-by-side with the tivo power supply, and plugging my second, upgraded, hard drive into it. Given the anemic hard drive my Series-2/80 hour came with, I'm hoping that this will work by avoiding putting any extra power load on my Tivo power supply.

Anyone see a problem with this? I'm positive I'm missing something, because it just seems too easy a solution for somebody not to have already done.

Only problem I can see is it might cause extra heat. You probably need to take care of that somehow.
