Show Suggestions for Rerun Season

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

In another thread, someone suggested that we record Tale Lights to watch when nothing else is on. Another thread had suggested TV Out of the Box on Trio, which I really enjoyed.

So I thought the only suggestions that are better than the Tivo itself are the ones from the Tivo Community. Since it seems that reruns have descended upon us, I thought I would start a thread that we could put suggestions in for shows off the beaten path, that people might enjoy as opposed to watching reruns.

HBO is going to start showing "The Wire" again Sun., March 2. It's the first season from the beginning.

I really recommend it.

I second that. The Wire was superb. I cannot wait for the second season.

Ebert and Roeper suggested a show called Easy Riders, Raging Bull. Apparently it is about the Hollywood revolution of the late 60s and 70s. It is on Trio and I believe it is premiering on March 9.

Whew. I thought this thread was going to be about suggestions for an upcoming season of the "Rerun" show. Thank God they're not bringing that one back!

In regards to sitcoms, I've had an idea that when the original episode is shot, the producers should shoot a 2nd ending that is a little different than the first and plug that in during rerun season. It would be almost like getting 2 shows for little more than the price of 1.

I haven’t actually seen the show myself yet, but BBC America will be re-airing the first six episodes of “The Office” over the next six weeks, starting Thursday. It’s gotten a lot of press on this board for being quite hilarious.

The other reason to catch this show is that much like the previously mentioned “Wire” (which I am watching again because its that good and highly recommend ) “The Office” has plenty of airings each week, so its easy to TiVo. There are 1:20 am and 5:20 am airings for each episode, so conflicts shouldn’t enter into the picture.
