I have to admit, I kind of like the guest hosts. Sure, none of them are even half as good as Letterman (Reeg might have been half as good), but it was just such a riot to watch tennis boy harass the hell out of the french chef.

I haven't watched Regis yet but I thought that the performances (albeit last minute) by McEnroe and Willis just go to show how much talent Dave has. I had the opposite view on the French chef segment. I thought McEnroe's hassling of him was out of line and not funny at all. Disrespectful and not in keeping with the point of the show.

I thought the chef showed class not buying into it.

I also thought McEnroe making fun of guest Tom Arnold's marital history was out of line. Arnold did nothing to provoke those comments. As if McEnroe is anyone to comment on marital problems:)!

Then McEnroe called the mother of his children "a psycho wack job".

I think a good talk show host should help the guest promote himself or his project and not make fun of the guest, unless the guest is controversial and brings that on.

If McEnroe is looking to get into being a talk show host, he sure didn't help his cause with his attitude, IMHO.
