hi. trying to figure out how you guys are sorting "now playing". i hit "info" in now playing and nothing happens. i tried the S.O.R.T. trick and that didn't work either. i've got a tivo tivo s2 80 hr. anybody with the howto?

Sounds like you may have already tried this, but just in case you got one of the details wrong, here is what worked for me:

Go into Now Playing

spell out "SORT" on the remote -- Slow, 0 (Zero), Record, Thumbs Up.

If it works, you get a kind of gong note repeated a couple times and you see a message at the bottom of the screen that says "Press INFO for sort options".

You can do this, or use the short cuts -- 1 for normal sort (newest first), 2 for expiration date, and 3 for alphabetical by title.

Note: You need to repeat this anytime your system re-boots (to install a new version, etc.) to re-enable sorting.
