Any one know if the image from a Hughes GXCDBOT will work (even temporarily) on an HDVR2? My hard drive died in the middle of backing up the image, and no-one seems to have an HDVR2 image available.

NO....NO and NO!!! Did I say NO??? ;)

The hardware architecture is different and it will not work. You need to get an HDVR2 image.
