Here's a weird one - when I first installed Tivo, it had major problems changing channels on the set top box - numbers would appear late, not at all, duplicated, and generally the box wouldn't change channels.

However, after a reboot everything worked fine. REALLY well, actually - the only time the box fails to turn over and misses a digit here and there is when I'm using the Tivo remote to do other things with Tivo whilst Tivo is using the front IR blaster to change the channels on the set top box.

After recently using the interactive service, the problems returned though. A quick reboot later, and everything was fine. It seems that the Pace 4000 box will continue to be switched by Tivo just so long as I don't access any interactive services (ordering a Pizza, a Front Row Movie etc etc).

Has anyone else experienced this?

It's a known issue.
Although I don't want this to turn into a typcial "do a search" reply... A quick search would turn up two big threads
