I have a couple quick questions:

1) Is it possible to equip a tivo series 1 dvr with a wireless network card?

2) Is there a way to download the program guide through this network connection?

I'm trying to get rid of my phone line and live off my cell phone, but my tivo is the only hangup right now.

thanks,

Josh

So, all I would need is that network card and a wireless hub to get rid of my phone line?

You'll need some type of broadband connection for the router, of course, but that should be it. Also, the Airnet doesn't contain the 802.11b card - its just an adapter.

You need the

-Tivo adapter (from 9thtee)
-A compatible 802.11b PCMCIA card (to put in the adapter)
-A wireless access point (to allow the 802.11b card to connect to your network)
-A path from the WAP to the internet (usually a router).

The last two could be configured many different ways. The best setup depends on your internet connection and your existing home network.
