Marketing idea for HMO

Just an idea...

I would love to be able to try the HMO for say 30 days before I commit to it. It doesn't seem like it'd be too hard to enable it for everyone on a temporary basis.

I think I'd mostly use it to watch shows in the bedroom that were recorded in the family room. But I'm really on the fence, since it is a pretty big investment. If I had the opportunity to try it, I think there's a good chance I'd go for it. Especially if I found another feature or 2 more useful than I'd anticipated.

Any TiVo owner knows that nobody can fully appreciate TiVo until they use it for a little while. I'll bet a LOT more people would get hooked on TiVo if there was a practical, hassle free way for them to use one on a trial basis. The same may go for HMO.

Any thoughts??

A trial period probably wouldn't be a bad idea, or a money back satisfaction guarantee. I would bet there would be a few bugs to work out, but I'm sure they gang at TiVo could figure this out.

Yeah.. but it requires you pressing 'Select' from my TiVo Central. Not sure how to link you to that. :)

:D Confirmed: New TivoShannan video in 'Tivo talks Home Media Option' section of Tivo Central mentions a rebate if unsatisfied with HMO within 30 days.

Instead of a money back guarantee, how bout 30 days free, then they cut you off or you can buy it. Like the trial period you get when you buy a new tivo.
