I recently upgraded my 4-week old HDVR2 with a 120GB Samsung add-on drive from Weaknees, bringing my capacity from a paltry 35 hours to a full 140 hours. (This seemed to be the best route for me, a Mac-user without easy access to a PC).

This Weaknees kit is impressive. It includes the TwinBreeze mounting bracket (for both the add-on and the existing hard drive), and 2 fans (one which replaces the current fan). These fans are whisper-quiet. Yet, my internal temperature has significantly dropped from the previous 41-42 C, to a steady 37 C.

The instructions are very clear, and all the needed hardware is included, including special Torx screw drivers. No cutting or special modifications are needed. This is a well thought-out and engineered upgrade. I was amazed to complete the process in only 30 minutes. That's impressive for a novice like me.

Weaknees was also responsive to all my email questions during the purchase process, and shipped right away. I did pay a little more to buy from Weaknees, but the quality of this upgrade is readily apparent to me, and worth every penny IMHO.

I heartily recommend Weaknees, and give them a well-deserved :up: :up: :up: .

I also just got some upgrades from Weakness. Just finished adding an extra 80 GB drive to my Hughes GXCEBOTD for a total of 106 hrs. Also got the kit for my Sony T60, but that will have to wait until I've finished watching what's on there as I'm going for a drive replacement instead of a add-on.
