Is Oprah a 'chick' show?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

The only reason I ask is because both a female neighbor-friend of mine and my sister watch it every day, on live TV no less :o

I think so.

Well, I don't really know any other chicks, but I have never seen it.

It's the biggest chick show there is.

Rule of thumb: If you even have to ask if something is "A Chick Show" - you've already answered your own question.

beat me to it Marco!

All talk shows without an overt political bent are "chick" shows.

I'm not a chick; should I stop watching The Late Show with David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and Late Night with Conan O'Brien? ;)

Damn, I knew somebody was going to bring these up. Are these really "talk" shows anymore? They're more like variety shows -- a little comedy, a little music, a little schmoozing with entertainment stars.

Yeah, I know that they're really variety shows, even though they're still classified as "talk shows". I was just messing with you (hence the smiley).

But seriously, you make a good point. I can't think of any non-political talk-only show whose target audience isn't predominantly female. But then, I don't watch a lot of talk-only shows.

I can only think of Fox Sports' "Best Damn Sports Show on Television" which is like watching paint dry. Unfunny people trying to be funny, 'manly' and outrageous. I like sports, but this show is unwatchable.

I think you should watch a couple and decide for yourself. (Nobody has to find out that you did)

BTW, i followed your links. You cats are cool.

It is so much of a chick show that she had to launch the Oxygen network to show all the overflow.
