The Shield 3/18 - Inferno - Spoilers

What?? An episode like this and no thread yet?? Wow.
Vic got trumped by his wife, because of some bad information and impatience. And the parting words of his wife, threatening to make him miserable, just stuck with me. Wow. It's nice to see that a seemingly invincible guy like Vic can still be brought down by the woman he loves.
Laney got trumped by ...well, just about everyone in the Barn. Anyone surprised? Claudette and Vic's parting comments were jewels.
Julian...ah, Julian. Has he married his fiancé already? He kept referring to her as his wife, which caught me offguard a bit. The Return of Tomas was interesting as well. I fully expected Julian to go back to Tomas, or at least appear torn over his decision to reorient himself, but the writers pulled a fast one.
Seems like the new guy is working out pretty well. We might just have a new animal in the barn...
And to preview next week's spoilers...Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
Looks like they're teasing us again with the death of a Strike Team member. Slo-mo shows Shane being pitched by something offscreen (not a fist), and no apparent entry point of a bullet into his skin. Perhaps he's pitched back by a bullet into his vest?

Yeah, this was a corker. Vic's finally getting it together!
...except for that last bit, of course. :D
I already can't wait for the bender I'll be on when the DVD set comes out. This season is every bit as good as the first one.

Hear hear! This season started slow but has become quite gripping. Kind of hard to believe we only have 2 more episodes this season.

Eeek - only 2 ?
I am new to The Shield this year, and immediately bought the 1st Season DVD set after the season premiere.
I was waiting until after the season ended to start watching it. Didn't think that it would be in early April though!
There are no weak characters, but my fave is Vic, of course, but I'm starting to like Shane more. He seems to be getting more of a harda** every week.

I third that opinion.
There are few shows that come out with such a great 1st season and match or even surpass it later on. Nice to see the Shield still has the magic touch.
IMO, there has been only one so-so episode, and all the rest were great.

Actually I like it a lot more. I gave it an 80% rating last season and didn't mind if I missed some episodes, this year I watch it as soon as I can and wouldn't dream of missing an episode.
Last year I had trouble separating Vic from the Commish. This year he is all Vic.

Im glad that Tevan <sp?> slammed Laney ...
not sure I trust him yet though <i want too>
You think Tevan will be let in on the Money Train? I doubt it
But it is a Strike Team thing ... i just wonder
I wonder whats up with Danny's Lil' problem?

I think they'll keep Tevan at a safe distance.
I think their reasoning is that if that can pull of this one last big job, they'll be set for life, and can keep things on the up-and-up from that point on.
As saw in "Co-Pilot", that's an unlikely scenerio.
I did really enjoy Vic taking the high road with Kern. I know he hasn't much choice at the moment, but I really thought he was going to go along with it. Kern is a pretty big bridge to burn. It will be interesting to see if there are reprecussions.

I can't help but think ass-face, fresh from disability, is not what he appears. Wasn't he one of the guys against the Money Train job before Amadillo got him? It just seems like he came back way too enthusiastic to swoop in on the job, of course that could be because he almost had his lights snuffed.

I don't know, I think Ronny is trustworthy.
After getting his flesh burnt off on a stove, vengeance isn't an unreasonable response.

Ronnie was on board before he got "burned".
Remember on top of the roof when was late because he "thought" he was being folllowed ... it ended up being a pizza guy or something like that.
It was the same episode where he was burnt!

Yeah, Ronnie was more paranoid about being greenlit. It's lemmy that was worried about the money train.
