I didn't like the original Lets Make a Deal. Why would anyone watch a prime time version.

I didn't watch this remake, but I actually used to enjoy the old show.

Personal opinion though is that NBC put this one on much too late to take advantage of the gameshow resurgence wave that was in place back during the heyday of Who wants to be a millionaire?

During that time frame, it might have been more successful, but in today's environment, game shows are out (except for Gameshow network), and other programming is in (including, unfortunately, crap like Joe Millionaire).

I liked the old one too.
But how long was this version on? 2 wks?

There were three shows aired, with two more still in the can.

It's a shame that LMAD is off the air. I rather enjoyed the updated version.
Of course it didn't help that LMAD was on against that awful American Idol.

I never saw the latest version (I think it was up against two shows I like better)....

but they revived the show once before and taped it in Orlando, Florida a little over 10 years ago. They taped and aired 135 episodes and I was on 13 of them. The only time I ever won anything was in the quick deals at the end. Bob Hilton was the host although near the end Monty Hall took over since it wasn't doing well in the ratings. Dick Clark was an executive producer and I saw him there once.

It was filmed at Disney/MGM and they used the set during off times as an attraction having a "Let's Make a Deal" show for park guests with smaller prizes.
