An excellent example of broadband content to play back on TiVo - FeedRoom.com

With all the bashing of requests for playing back video on a TiVo saying it would open up piracy issues perhaps this site might be compelling as an example of content that would be worthwhile to playback on a broadband connected TiVo.
Check it out on your PC anyway, very cool!

Yeargh. First the site won't even come up with javascript disabled, then it refuses to let me view the site because I have an 'unoptimized' browser (mozilla 1.3, the best browser on earth right now).
Then the final nails - all the content is WMP or Real. The heck with these people. PV

I signed-up for the daily "Video Alerts" email from the feedroom and enjoy using the service just about every day. I agree.. Very Cool !

Just checked my system with Ad-aware - nothing. Running IE 6.0 (medium security and privacy settings) and McAfee v4.5.1 (4.0.4253).

Lousy site. Wouldn't even let me in.

Sorry to suggest a site that so many are having trouble with. Worked fine for me (Windows XP with IE 6) and I have over 200 ad sites explicitly blocked on my firewall including doubleclick.
I don't know the mechanism they are using to play the video, but it didn't seem like something Real would do (No Real logo, option to pay for content, etc.).
So I uninstalled the real player, rebooted, and went back to the site.
Still worked fine for me.
Try this one if you still have trouble:

It worked great for me with XP and IE6.0. I have it set as a favorite now.

Wasn't there a press release way back when about TiVo partnering with RealMedia for streamed video into TiVo from the Internet?

They co-branded some obnoxious real program or another. But I guess that's redundant. PV
