Wow, wasn't this a blast from the past so to speak?

First, Anthony Michael Hall gets reunited with Ally Sheedy, and later in the episode, who shows up?

CARL?!?!?! You know, John Kapelos, who played Carl the Janitor in The Breakfast Club!

I wonder if they're planning little things like this again in the future?

Took me about a minute into the bar scene to recognize "the eyes and ears of this institution".

Other possible nods to Breakfast Club: the party was in the school library, and the shot of AS and AMH walking down the school hallway flanked by lockers. It was actually EE in that shot with AS in the Club, but I still think it was an allusion to the "what's your poison" scene.

Aside from all the Breakfast Club stuff, I thought it was a really good episode.

I kept trying to figure out how he was going to save everyone so we could have a happy-happy joy-joy ending. Bravo to them for having the guts to not do that.

I was disappointed to realize next week was the season finale. Seems like the Stillson stuff was a little inconsistent this season.

I agree. I was a little shocked about next week. I assumed we'd have a run of episodes building up to the end. Instead, it looks like it is just going to happen in one big bang.

Of course as a one time Breakfast Club fanatic I must say that Sheedy's character wound up with the Emelio Estevez character and Molly Ringwald wound up with Judd Nelsons character.

Other than that I have not seen the episode yet and I'm off to see if Tivo even plans to record it anytime.

Edit: Okay, I just checked and it is recording it now! Good for me.
