RW/RR Challenge Prize

Anyone find it sort of ironic that the prize on the Real World/Road Rules challenge this week was a SonicBlue DVD player and a ReplayTV?

Don't forget, they got a Rio as well!

Anyone else enough of a geek to notice that they had the remotes next to the wrong products in the display picture?
:D

I didn't notice the wrong remotes, but I do remember thinking "man, I wonder how long ago this was filmed?" How about Johnny Mosley, after announcing the prizes, saying "let's give it up for the sponsor" and clapping. Nice Johnny, didn't look forced at all.
Really, what is the point of all these challenges? It doesnt give you an advantage to win or lose, you just gain the prizes. Some of these challenges are stupid too, if every guy beats every girl but 1, and that 1 girl is the total victor, the girls team wins. Shouldnt the guys team win, since they did better as a team?

I agree that the game itself is pretty stupid, but it's funny to watch. In fact, seeing the girls all whine and complain about each other is so funny where the guys just all get along great. The guys vs. girls aspect is TOTALLY different in this show than on Survivor. You can tell what types they cast for RW/RR.

not really.. The show was taped long before SonicBlue filed for bankruptcy.

I just read Colin's entry for this episode on his website and he says that they took all the actual shooting of the Laser Guns out of the episode because of the war. To me that seems to be going a little overboard.
I also think it's funny that he ebay's almost every single prize he has won. Currently you can buy the Rio player he won.

I agree, the guys got along from the very beginning. Once Puck left, you never really see any of the guys besides James, and that's only because he hangs out with Emily. The whole show is now dedicated to the 'turmoil' of the girls team, and Ellen's whining about how their team needs to come together. Although I've never liked her, when she said "We can do anything the boys can do, and probably do it better." I really started hating her. That's the reason right there I don't like Feminists. If you can do it so much better, WHY DO YOU KEEP LOSING?? I also liked how early on the girls were making fun of the guys for their pack mentality, and how everything is done as a group. Then, on the most recent episode, I think it was Anne who pointed out that the guy's mentality has won them all these challenges, and resulted in no hurt feelings.

I also thought it was so funny that the girls were saying that the challenges weren't fair, and then in the next breath they were saying that they could do anything the guys could do. Well, if they can do anything the guys can do, then there should be nothing unfair about the challenges.

Yeah, about the "fairness." Remember the challenge where the guys had to put on speedos, and everyone sat on blocks of ice holding their arms up? I could have told you the girls will win that WAAAYYY before it even started. And, I've thought some of the other challenges would swing to the girls, but their team is so clueless, the guys took those as well.

Ellen can be annoying at times but I give both her an Ruthie credit for being tenacious competitors. It's a shame that the rest of the team is clueless.

Ellen is a little whiner, all she does is cry. Though I have to give it up to Ruthie, Ellen and Emily. Those three are great competitors and athletes. I knew on the ladder climbing competition only those three had any shot at getting to the top, where I think all the guys made it.
The girls team is definitely in disarray, they do need some sort of leader. The guys just know how to compete like a team, there is also less who likes who as part of the inner circle to determine who gets kicked out.

I wonder if any of them even knew what a replaytv was.

I really wish that Emily would get kicked off. She's a bitch.
Posted by: njtaz
Well she might voluntarily leave because James is leaving...to be cont'd. We'll see.
And what's with Antoine voting James off just because he said the Inner Circle should take the responsibility and pick one of 'em to be voted off??
