I have already preordered the DVD of season one and two. Am I correct that Family Guy only lasted two seasons and the DVD will be a complete set of all episodes created?

No, and yes. In that order. :D

Family Guy lasted for 3 seasons (if you can call it a season, the way Fox kept shifting them around and pre-empting them). However, by ordering both DVD sets, you get every episode. The first boxed set contains seasons 1 and 2, with the second boxed set containing season 3.

What I ordered (which is supposed to be released on April 15) is Family Guy Seasons one and two. I didn't see another set available.

Woops! My bad. I mistakenly read "DVD" as "DVDs". *sheepish grin*

There's a second boxed set being released on September 9th, which contains the remainder of the Family Guy episodes.

I will thank you not to mention that horrid show again.

It felt like Family Guy was on the air for 12 years with 3 shows on a year.....

Anyway, i am really glad about them showing on cartoon network, because i was going to buy the DVD's, just to see them all because i barely saw any of them, but now i don't need to.

One advantage to buying the DVD's is you get the commentary (which I have found really interesting on the Simpsons DVD's) and you don't have commercials, and best of all you don't have a station logo sitting on top of the screen.

True, but i just was never into Family Guy like I am into The Simpsons and Futurama. I purposefully stayed away from the Family Guy repeats on Cartoon Network waiting for the DVD's.

One thing that I noticed when I set up my Season Pass was that, according to the guide data, CN is starting with Season 2 .

Doesn't make sense... why not start at the beginning... like they did with Futurama ?

The Family Guy was one of the few shows that I looked forward to seeing when it was first run. Too bad it got pre-empted into oblivion by FOX!
