Re-post: Do I need to re-install 'hack' tools (TiVoWeb, etc.) after MFSTools upgrade?

(I posted this in the Upgrade section, but I'm thinking it's more applicable here.)

Here's the lay of the land. Two years ago, I got my SA TiVo and immediately increased the storage (adding a 60 Gb B drive to the existing 14 Gb A drive), using the old tools.

About two months ago, I hacked the unit, adding in a TurboNET card and installing the hack tools to get the BASH prompt, run the FTP server, TiVoWEB, etc.

Now I'm about to do a MFSTools upgrade, going from my 14+60 2 drive setup to a single 120 Gb drive setup.

So, the question: when I use MFSTools to combine my A & B drives onto my new single drive, will I need to reinstall the hack tools, or will my /var/hack directory be preserved? Thanks.

Well, I answered my own question. The hack tools are preserved after an MFSTools upgrade. The backup keeps the /var/hack directory intact.

so does anyone have an image (created with MFStools) with all hacks intact (bash, TivoWEB, etc) on a HDVR2. (I believe this would require you to have an older version 3.1-U5 of the Tivo software).
