I am hearing rumors that there is to be a spinoff on JAG. Anyone know any details? I have been looking for news on it and have yet to see anything.

Where are you hearing the rumors?

I found this on The Futon Critic:

Here's the link:

JAG Spin-off Info

Later!

Well that explains it. There is little info to find LOL

From the same link above I discovered that Mark Harmon has been selected as the spin-off's lead. Interesting.

Michael Weatherly has also been attached.
Another (informationless) link follows...

Ahhh...a spin off involving the NCIS....An Acronym they always like to toss around on the show.

So what do you think? The last two episodes of JAG have set the show up pretty well...More of a JAG/Agency feel than a JAG/CSI feel.

I wonder if the lawyer that defended Harm will be a recuring character on the new show.

Maybe even more of a CSI/Agency feel. Depends how much the prosecutor and defense attorney from the 2nd episode are involved. They mostly featured Mark Harmon, Michael Weatherly, the former FBI agent whose brother was killed on the Cole, the lab chick and the M.E. Doesn't seem like they'd be able to combine terrorist-hunting, forensics, and courtroom plots every week. But who knows.

In any case, if it's on in the fall, I'll definitely give it a chance for a few weeks at least.

If they launch a spin-off with nothing but Catherine Bell running on a beach ala BayWatch, I'm in.

Hrm. I'll give the new show a try, but I liked JAG because it was unique. This new show just feels too much of a typical investigative/detective type show situated in the military. And if I liked those shows, I'd have watched CSI and Law and Order and the many other shows first...

What's it called?

JAGOFF?

OK Frank. You're fired! That was awful... LOL
