If you change the names of your TiVos (with Manage my Account) and you don't have HMO, what differences do you notice?

Will you see the names at the top of "To Do" or "Now Playing"?

(I'd find that very useful to know which TiVo's information was on the screen.)

Huh... I didn't even think of that. I'd imagine the Naming feature is to aide those who will be purchasing HMO on multiple Tivo's. They can name them "Bedroom", "Living Room", "Den", etc. THis aides in remote scheduling. It makes it so they don't have to know the Service Number of the Tivo they are scheduling for.

I doubt it does what you're asking for.

If you don't have the Home Media Option, then renaming your DVRs just helps you out in Manage My Account (e.g., you can change the credit card on file for your "Living Room" DVR).

If you don't have the Home Media Option, your DVR's name has no effect on System Information or Now Playing or anything like that.
