Well, after playing with the RS a bit, I now wonder a few things!

1. Why doesn't TiVo support it on S1 units ? I assumed that it was going to REQUIRE broadband connectivity, but according to the info on the website, it doesn't ! So it would be perfectly feasible for S1 units to remote sched.

2. Seems like RS should be just a part of 4.0, and NOT HMO specifically....

3. Since it COULD easily be implemented on s1 units, TiVo could offer a "remote scheduling" option for s1's for a one time $25.00 fee, or something like that.

I realize that RS without broadband would be more Replay-esque in that it would only allow you to schedule shows for the next day or so, But for folks who travel there is still value in that.

Just a thought!

How easily? TiVo would have to write the code for a new release for the S1. Maybe they'll do it, maybe they won't. But I don't think it's "easy" to do that.
