Ok, it's been a while.

I have a phillips Tivo series 1, second hard drive added. Old-style TivoNet card that has long been disconnected out of frustration.

Now I'm hearing that tivo is offering something called the "Home Media Option" which has some nice features... except it is for series 2.

So now I have a TON of questions...

1) Is there any way to get this on my series1? We just plain don't have the cash to do everything we want.

2) If I can't get that, is there any way to get the show sharing between tivos?

2a) If you can, then is there a way to do it with an unregistered tivo? (I might be able to push for the expense of a cheap tivo for the second TV, but we can't shell out the money for another subscription, lifetime or otherwise.)

3) Is there a decent site that lists the common hacks available these days? Searching this board for information is difficult at best, and trying to decide how to proceed on hacks has led to frustration.

HMO is S2 only, no getting around that.

You can do some of the same type of show sharing, if you can get network connectivity between two TiVos.

As to how, I'm not allowed to tell you. (here)
