Half-hour shows?

I'm looking for recommendations on shows that meet the following criteria:
I see someone discussing Lucky, starting tonight (4/8) on FX. Anything else?

Hmmm.... maybe "Coupling" on BBC? It is a sitcom, but not your average one.

Also maybe "Our Hero" if you get WAM! It's a show directed at teens, but it showed up in my suggestions list one day a few months ago, and I actually thought it was quite good (even though I'm now pushing 30... ack!). I set up a season pass for it.

Sex Court???? ;)

Malcolm In The Middle is a half hour comedy sitcom, but no laugh track. (Which I think should have been done years ago, and more power to them for it!)

As for whether it's "the standard sitcom", I'd talk about how it's not (and how in all of TV history I've only liked two shows anyone ever called sitcoms), but then, everyone who watches any sitcoms always says their favorites are "unlike all the others", so what would it prove? Try it, and decide for yourself.

South Park.

Half hour. Fiction. No laugh track. Funny as heck. jsut don't watch if you are easily offended.

Gotta back this one up. Very funny, probably your best bet if you're not into the cartoons like South Park, Simpsons, etc.

The Daily Show. Consistently laugh out loud funny.

Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn on Comedy Central
The Man Show on Comedy Central (studio audience suplies laughs)
Penn and Teller on Showtime (but it's non-fiction)

Another vote each for Scrubs, Curb Your Enthusiasm and South Park. Three of the very best shows on TV.

I have to second that one. I'm going crazy waiting for new episodes.

Larry David, the writer of Seinfeld, plays as Larry David, the writer of Seinfeld. Written by Larry David, the writer of Seinfeld.

Obvious nods to Malcolm in the Middle, Scrubs, The Daily Show, Curb your Enthusiasm, et al.
I would like to put my vote in for: Chappelle's Show (Comedy Central).

Sports Night, still running on Comedy Central.
Another vote for Futurama

Hey Now!

Try:

The Larry Sanders Show on Bravo

Seems to be on an endless repeating loop of all 6 (7?) seasons.
Advantage is 2 shows a night 3 or 4 nights a week between 2 and 3 am, making it perfect TiVo fodder - stuff you might like that doesn't interfere with any SPs.

Of course, its not to everyone's taste, but its comedy, 30 mins, no laugh track, and has Hollywood stars (of the 90s) willing to poke fun at themselves.

The only bummer is Bravo edits out all the HBO cussing.

I think my local fox station is also running LS on some late night time slot.
