Can I use my Sony SAT-T60 A drive on my Phillips DSR6000 DirectTiVo or even the Hughes GXCEBOT DirectTiVO??? Are they not basically the same units? The reason I ask is becuase I killed my Phillips DSR6000 A drive and I dont have an Img of it. I do have an extra SAT-T60 laying around from the origanal 40gig that was in there. Can I pop that one in?

It should work, but the unit would be expecting a Sony remote control instead of the Philips. It would also put you into a borderline "moron" category. (Do a search for moron if you don't know what I mean by that)

Ah, thanks so much maharg19...I guess I am a moron. TypeII as it were. I guess I could do it, but I'm sure it would not be smart. Looks like a temp solution for now.
