im surprised there are never any threads on BP...great show! whats the story does no1 like it??? its one of my favs besides Ed and 24
anyway i thought it was a great episode...i definately think ronnie will end up with dave fields instead of her current boyfriend...that was great when he punched the other guy in the face lol.....wut do u guys think about this show?

I think it's great!! I wish my high school had been that interesting!

I love BP but I think the story lines are a little out there sometimes (i.e. Marla and the midget). As for "Ronnie", I want Mr. Senate to come back!

The fact that my SO is a highschool teacher (in a very large city's inner city) and says this has absolutely no correlation with real life kinda ruins the show for me.
However, I keep watching... Mr. Guber is such a good character.

Quite a few people on this forum feel that this show has fallen off, so that would explain the lack of threads.
I watch. It's gotten a little too soap opera-ish lately (how many guys is Ronnie Cook gonna go thru this year? Not that it bothers me on some moral level, it's just her love life is becoming too much of the show) but I still find it a diverting 45 minutes.
Enjoyed Monday's episode though. Interesting character moments for Guber (jealousy), Marla (social insecurity) and Zach (the punch!).

Really? While not all my teacher friends think the show is spot on, many can relate to some of the story lines. It is TV after all.

I have liked this show for a while. It seemed to go downhill for a while, but I've really enjoyed the past few episodes.
Hopefully it will stay this good.
The one thing I've always liked was the turnover of fairly major characters. Although sometimes I miss them, for me it keeps the show somewhat new.

How weird is it to see a show with a hot high school chick that's actually nice, not a total stuck up bitch?

Am I the only one who's gotten totally bored with BP? I've resorted to deleting the SP because it just doesn't hold my interest anymore.

It's a pretty decent show. It's a lot better than the other garbage that is playing!

I got out of it when they did the crap with Senate. It was so far beyond the bounds of belief. I will probably start picking it up again now that Stargate SG-1 has gone back to the beginning again. It was great to watch the old SG-1's. I usually managed to miss the first episodes of many seasons because they would move it around during the break. Tivo takes care of that now!

I think the show is absolute tripe. My wife used to force me to watch it with her and I was able to stomach the first season. After that, it became so outrageous (while attempting to maintain that it was a drama instead of a farcical comedy) that I just couldn't handle it anymore.
And the principal? He's the worst actor ever. His profile on IMDB says he didn't start acting until he was 30. I've got news for you: he still hasn't started acting. I can just imagine a director with him:
"Show me anger!"
Chi lowers his head, speaks slower and with a lower tone: "You make me angry.
"Show me happiness!"
Chi lowers his head, speaks slower and with a lower tone: "You make me happy."
"Show me excitement!"
Chi lowers his head, speaks slower and with a lower tone: "You make me excited."
Blech.

I'm glad Senate is gone. The show got much better without all his unrealistic shinanagans. They left it open-ended that he may come back, but I sure hope he doesn't. Another love interest for Ronnie Cook

The show has defintiely gone downhill(as all DEK shows do) but I still watch. Most of the SL's are completely unrealistic but most things on TV are. It's still entertaining.
What I like most is that the building of the school is almost exactly what my high school looked like! I feel like I'm watching something thats happening in my school.

What's up with the lumps on the principal's head? Is it cellulite? This is petty of me to say, but it repulses me to see him without a hat. :P

The show used to be good. But as is typical with David E. Kelly shows, the story lines get totally ridiculous and absurd. Boston Public is no different.
