Real World LV: Reunion - where was Trashelle?
(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Even though I lost interest in the Las Vegas season pretty early on (I think it was when they went on a personality building retreat complete with trust falls and tears), I was interested to see what the reunion would be like.
MTV got things started early, so my recording missed the first minute or two. Did anyone see the whole thing, and if so, did they explain Trashelle's absence?
Here are a few random thoughts about the few highlights from the snoozefest:
The host looked like an elf (her ears looked like leftover props from LotR).
Brynn said that she "got the shaft" and was hardly seen on the show. So true.
Why didn't they ask Alton about his arrest at a RW charity fundraiser? They certainly did not shy away from the alcohol discussion.
Nice to see Frank admit that eating pizza out of the sink was gross.

Crap, I missed the Reunion show. But in true MTV fashion, it'll be played many many many times in the next 2-3 weeks.
I am interested to see if Alton and Irulan are still together post-show. (don't tell Me)

My wife and I were wondering the exact same thing. It's just not the same train wreck without Trashie.
We figured she thought her life was wrecked enough by the show as it was, but wouldn't MTV be smart enough to put it in the contract that they have to do the reunion?

Trashelle was "out of the country."

All they said was that she was "out of the country." It was mentioned that she moved to LA, and lives "a few doors down" from Steven. They are good friends, but no longer "hook up."
Real World: Paris arrives in June. I think they were better off only running one season per year.
"Real Cancun," a Bunim-Murray look at spring break hits theatres April 25. Unfortunately, I see them limiting it to PG-13, so I doubt any of the real good stuff will make it to the final production.

Out of the country?? Trashelle seems like the type of gal who had never left her home state before TRW. I guess that "fame" changes everything...
RW: Paris? Hmmm. Could be interesting, but after suffering through this whole season, it better get good quick.

Did anyone notice hat the host's shirt was draped down to her belly button but yet there were no boobs seen? Did they edit it out or is she really that flat chested?
I agree that Brynn was out of sight for most of the show, but so was Frank a lot of the time. I would have liked to have seen more of them instead of the relationships of Irulan and Arissa every week.
Maybe Trashelle saw what an idiot she looked like on tv and changed some of her ways. That one scene where Steven's escorting her out of the bar (to go get it on) and her boob is falling out of her tube top would have done it for me.

I've only seen her on the firs half of the season but here are some guesses:
a) she has become a walking STD and is on a 24 hour antibiotic drip and under quarantine
b) her loving daddy done reclaimed what is rightfully his after letting half of vegas partake of it
c) she couldn't bare to see the man she loves, Steven, revealed to truly be Porky Pig (this was revealed, right?)
d) WalMart was having a 50% off evening wear sale in her honor and she was attending
e) off preparing for the next "Battle of the Jackasses" as this will be her only higher than minimum wage job ever

LOL GDG76! :D
I haven't watched this reunion yet, but I watched the finale last night.
Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
Trashelle was in such denial that she was in love with Steven. Alton and Irulan were planning their New York love nest and Trashelle was so envious. Then Steven kissed her goodbye and she was utterly broken. Now I find out she lives just down the street from him. It sounds like she's still hoping he'll fall for her.
If I were her, I'd be out of the country during the reunion too. How embarrassing!
I agree Brynn got screwed on the airtime. She was barely even in the second half of the season. Frank got quite a bit of airtime, though. Even though he wasn't the center of attention very often, he basically narrated the entire season.

My take on Brynns being missing is that didn't she have a real job? Not the fake RW job the rest of them had? I guess when she was around, rarely were the other folks, and vice-a-versa.
This had to be the worst Real World yet... either that or I am finally growing up. :( I left my SP in, but would only scan each episode for Brynn and then bonk-tonk, delete it.
I can't put my finger on what was really missing... I think it was probably the setting, Vegas. Just too much to love in that town. Everyone hooking up in the house made it like one big soap/sex opera. Am I right that there has _rarely_ been anywhere near the sort of hook ups we saw this season? I still remember Hawaii, and the shower scene. Now that was a hookup. ;)
Bring on Paris, I think.

According to http://realworldroadrules.blogspot.com/, she was either in Cancun or Amsterdam. I'm sure she was doing quite a bit of reflection on her life. Or something.

I'm not sure what made this season more boring, but I agree that it was. Maybe it's that the participants were less diverse than usual. Irulan and Arissa were like best buddies, and Alton was like their big brother (until he got freaky with one of them, that is :D). All the guys got along very well, I can't remember any guy vs. guy conflicts after the original Frank-Steven fight over Trashelle, and that might have been the first episode. The girls got along well, once Brynn was edited out. Things were so peachy at the house that a lot of the interesting stuff came when their friends or family came to visit. That's a bad sign. The only real drama in the house in the last half of the season was the Steven-Trashelle and Alton-Irulan sagas, both of which got so tired toward the end that I could barely watch.

I totally agree! I just couldn't get into any of the relationships this season. Also, everyone seemed so shallow and uninteresting to me. I guess it was all of the night-clubbing, cigarette smoking and player guys. The two black chicks just got on my nerves--Irulan with her "open" relationship and Arissa with her over-articulation and "don't disrespect me" directives--arrrgh! The white chicks had their moments too but that is what comes to mind right now. I, for the life of me, couldn't fathom how Steven could have a sexy, beautiful girl like Trishelle want to be with him for the course of the show and he wasn't interested! He must have either thought she was too white trash or not smart enough or something... Brynn seemed the most like girls I know (or knew) and she was so cute. That area where many of them sat on chairs and smoked drove me nuts--they had this incredible suite and yet they chose to sit in the hall (I'm sure it was due to a non-smoking provision for the room). Even their trip to Australia was blah.
