I am still a little confused after reading TiVo's privacy policy. Does TiVo share ANY personal information with your cable or satellite provider?

None, zilch. They don't have the data, all the data they have is aggregrate data. Ie. data not associated to customers, in other words 300 users of tivo saw seinfeld, but they have no idea WHICH users it was, it's simply not transmitted to them. Plenty of people have hooked up network sniffers, etc to prove this. They are very concerned about privacy.

What about guided setup? Does this info get passed on to providers?

NO. Nothing gets passed on to your local provider.

I've never seen that question before. People are concerend about them doing other things with data, but why are you concerned about your local provider? :confused:
