DirecTV channel USA

There is a thread about this over in the DirecTivo forum, but since it is a season pass alert I thought I should post it here as well.
It looks like yesterday DirecTV changed the channel info for USA, so at least on DirecTivos any season passes you have for shows on USA won't record.
If you check your Season Pass manager for shows on USA (for example Monk) normally you should see
Monk (242 USA)
but now it says
Monk ( USA)
Because the new info broke the relationship between the Season Passes and the channel, so the channel number is missing. This means that these season passes will not record because the tivo thinks you no longer receiver the channel.
You will need to redo any affected season passes.

Thanks! I discovered the problem just a little while ago and wanted to make sure it wasn't just me! :D

Thanks for the heads up.
I use an ARWL for Monk (and many other shows) -- why? I hate having that "no episodes scheduled to record" line in my To Do List. Especially irritating for shows that air infrequently (ie, Sopranos: on for 13 weeks, off for 18 months).

I guess that's why Nashville star didn't record this weekend...

Read your "Book" on DTV's Protection Plan. I am curious..you show Upgraded TiVo's... What is the coverage on those?
Pardon my ignorance but what is "UTV" ?
UTV?:

Thanks for the heads-up. I deleted my season pass for Nashville Star and recreated it. Now everything is fine.

UTV is ultimateTV, a dual tuner PVR that microsoft released a while back. DirecTV's official stance on upgraded units is they are not covered. However, they cross ship you the reciever, ie. they send you a new receiver before even touching/seeing yours. My UTV had been opened and they didn't care. If you have an HDVR2 there is no sticker on the back so there is no way for them to know. People on this forum have not had any problems having their modified units swapped out (at least not that I've read.)
That being said I feel it necessary to reiterate that their official stance is that they will not cover modified units.
I don't want to hi-jack this thread though so please PM me or post in the other thread if you have anymore questions. Hope this helped.

Jonathan_S: Thanks for letting us know. This thread could help many, but might I suggest that you change the thread title to something like:
All USA Network SP's must be reset
I almost didn't look at the thread.
Just a thought,

This is something that DirecTV should have alerted its DirecTIVO customers to, via a message or something. For them to break the association with the channels and not say anything is awful. For normal customers who don't read these boards, what chance to they have to figure this out?

After reading this thread I checked my Season Passes, and found that my USA passes are correct, the change had been made automatically. I had to do a couple of power downs about a week ago, I wonder if that had anything to do with it.

Yeah this is wierd. One Tivo with an SP to Nashville star recorded fine, my in-laws Tivo did not record it...

Mine is still not working. My season pass for Nashville Star isn't working and I don't know why. I deleted my season pass and re-created it, but it still isn't showing up in my To Do list. When I check the recording history for it, it shows that it will not be recorded becasue the episode is no longer in the guide. But it is in the guide. That's how I re-created my season pass. When I look for more information under the the recording history it says that the channel I am trying to record from (USA) is not part of the Channels I Receive. When I check Channels I Receive it is there. So, something screwy is going on here.
Anyone have any ideas?

Thank you! I have been trying to figure out what was going on here. I had the same problems with it being "no longer in the guide". This made sense when I first noticed it last week because the show had been preempted by golf, but it's back on now.
I recreated the season pass, and now all is well!
