Hats off to Dr. Strange for taking the time to understand how both Replay and TiVo work and taking the time to put together a detailed comparison of the pros and cons of each, clearly seperating fact from opinion. It's an invaluable resource to anyone who really wants to know which recorder is best for them. If you haven't seen it, check http://pvrcompare.com/

I'm a bit puzzled at why the mods here tolerate what appears to be a personal vendetta against him. Is it really within the rules of this forum to create a new account specifically for the purpose of repeatedly posting the same personal attack against one individual?

DrStrange, BrettStah, and (to a much lesser extent) myself and Lori have all endured personal attacks for just posting on the Replay forum. It gets kind of funny after awhile. Kind of like Sadaam not allowing any criticism of his regime when he was in power.

Personal attacks should not happen on any forum. With that said though, I have found this forum much more defensive and prone to personal attacks than the ReplayTV board. Don't make the ReplayTV board out to be such a bad place when this board has just as many posters with the same bad attitude.

And I've found just the opposite, but I can see your point. Both boards are not friendly to the competition when it comes to arguing PVR's.

BrettStah, is very well liked over in the Replaytv forum. He knows how to take a light hearted joke and give one back in the spirit in which it was given. Some people do not take being the butt of a joke to well.

On second thought BrettStah, is liked as much anyone that's enlisted in the Tivo Army can be liked over in the ReplayTV forum :p

It's rather absurd that everyone takes it so heavily when you think about it. It's just TV. Oh well.
