SAT-T60 Boot Problem

I have an SAT-T60 that I upgraded with 2 80GB drives about 18 months ago. It's been working flawlessly.

We recently had a power failure and the Tivo now is locked in a loop at startup -

- Starting up...
- A few seconds more...
- Updating database. This could take along time.
- rolling yellow screen, then back to the startup menu

I hooked the drives up to a PC. Both were recognized at full capacity. I ran the maxtor read-only diagnostics - both were fine. I used mfstools 2.0 to back up the drives - the program correctly recognized that it was a 30GB system, upgraded to a 80GB system, upgraded to a 160GB system (I'm not sure what the exact numbers were, but it went through the whole backup fine).

Is there any sort of diagnostic that can tell me more about what's going on in the Tivo volumes? Any suggestions on getting Tivo working properly again? I do not havce a backup of the original - if I need to rebuild with new drive(s), what do I start with (does the mfstool backup utility do any sort of integrity checking)?
