Now what do I do????? Survivor's season finale and the reunion show for 90210 are on at the same time and the same day. How can they do this? I guess it is back to the vcr for the night.

You could get a DirecTV TiVo with dual channel recording. :)

I have a question regarding the DirecTivo. What happens if you switch from Direct TV back to cable?? ANd then if you already have Direct TV how do you make the switch to DirectTivo and what is the cost.

The directTV with Tivo combo unit (or DirecTivo) only works with Direct TV. If you switch back to cable, the DirecTivo is now a doorstop (well, you could continue to watch previously recorded DTV programs, but not record anything new).

If you already have DirectTV, you just buy a DirecTivo unit (around $200 or less), and have DTV switch your account over. The Tivo service is only $5/month for DirecTivo units (rather than $13 for standalones) and is free if you have the highest DirecTV programming package (with all the HBO, other pay channels). The tivo service is mirrored on all additional DirecTivo units (so you don't have to pay the $5 monthly Tivo service fee again if you have 2 combo units), but you do pay a $5/month fee to DirecTV for an additional receiver (as you would for any additional DirecTV receiver).

Also, please note that DirecTV has taken over all customer service aspects for the combo units, so you only deal with DirecTV and not Tivo at all.
