Voyager series finale.

What did you think of the series finale? This is the first show I've watched in a while in real time. I just couldn't wait.
I thought it was okay, but the ending sucked. We spend 7 years trying to get home, then we see it for 4 seconds when we finally do?!? Agghh...
Couple of questions:
If there was a Borg conduit so close to Earth, wouldn't the Borg have used it already to attack Earth?
What do you think Nelix thinks? As far as he knows 7 o' 9 quit their game early and never came back. He's got to go through the rest of his life thinking that Voyager was destroyed.
Anyway, not a bad last show but not near as good as DS9s.

I am by far not a star trek fan but didn't that show go off the air like 3 years ago?

Not a bad finale when you consider that it's Voyager that we're talking about here. Certainly not in the same league as the TNG finale, though.
And, yeah, I agree. Given that the whole series was devoted to the crew trying to get back home, you'd think they could have set aside 10 minutes to let us know what happened to them when they finally made it.
At least it wasn't as bad as the Buffy finale. (Which should be airing in 4 years or so... ;))

Man, the board's having major issues tonight. I thought seeing posts from three weeks ago was nuts, now we're getting posts from three years ago!!! ;)

I thought the ending was unspectacular as well, for the same reasons.
According to a few articles I read a few years ago, the reason they didn't show you anything that happens after Voyager's return is because they've got a Voyager - Homecoming novel series coming out this summer. There are a few sample chapters included in the novelization of the Voyager Finale, and it seemed fairly interesting at the time.

I sense temporal paradox here. Voyager ended years ago.

What are you people doing in my TARDIS?

Brian,
You know, I wonder if Neelix will keel over and die w/o 7 of 9. There was an ep where Neelix died, and 7 used her nanobots to reanimate him. Without regular infusions of the nanites, he would die.
Just wondering.

We can only hope...

Bryan, are we seeing an old post here or did you really just see the finale?
Anyway, I thought it was way too derivative of the TNG finale, right down to the exact same "25-years-from-now" uniforms. I also wish they had brought them home earlier... but I mean a couple seasons earlier. They weren't really taking advantage of the fact that they were in uncharted territory (i.e., they kept poorly remaking TNG episodes) and I would have rather seen them use the last couple seasons to show what went on after the Dominion War.

They probably are showing this on some cable channel and finally showed the last episode.
I saw it so long ago, that I didn't remeber anything but the party on earth showing everyone aged. (or was that DS9?) :)

Bryan, if you would have waited just 3 more days to create this thread, that would have been the 2-year anniversary of the Voyager finale.
