"The Practice" Disbars Five

I know many of you won't care, but I'm sorry to see Bobby Donnell, Helen Gamble, and several others leave. I just hope DEK's replacements are adequate. Nevertheless, I am grateful the series has been renewed for another year and placed back in its original timeslot.

Would love to hear your comments about who Kelley is sending packing...

The thread belongs in the Now Playing - TV Talk section of the TiVo Community. TiVo is used to record programs, so this thread is relevant but I believe he accidently started the thread in the wrong section of this forum.

There was already a thread about this yesterday in TV Talk, but it went poof along with the other new theads.

After being absent in Season Six, in which he made only three guest appearances - actore Michael Shanks returns to his role as Dr. Daniel jackson once more as a regular member of the cast in the two-part Stargate SG-1 Season Seven Premiere.

Other than the fact that there's an entire subsection of the forum dedicated to talking about TV shows and this section is for TiVo-related content only, I can't think of a single thing wrong with this thread being here. ;)

So I guess everything should be posted in this forum. :)

The fact that a moderator hasn't yet moved your thread, or that this forum gets far more views doesn't make INTENTIONALLY posting a thread in a wrong forum "right".

One of the few things that keeps a busy forum like TiVo Community from falling apart is the fact that the hundreds of thousands of posts are divided into seperate forums.

May this thread be doomed to die in severe off-topicness! :D

Hey, thanks for the update on The Practice - one of my favorite shows, it was beginning to get tired. Maybe a new cast is just what it needs.

Actually, The Practice reaffirmed my DTIVO purchase decision, as my Season Pass repeatedly picked up new shows I would have otherwise missed. First, when I forgot it had changed to Monday nights, second during the Iraq war when a new episode was moved to a different time slot, third during the NBA playoffs when the local ABC affiliate moved a new episode because of a playoff game, and fourth, the season finale, which I didn't realize was two hours.

Without my DTIVO, I would have been relying on videotape, and would have missed all these episodes. Have I made this thread relevant to the forum?

That's some seriously faulty logic. The forum sections are here for a reason.

Let's say there are two lectures scheduled in two different halls. Hall One holds 250 people, and is holding a lecture on zoology. Hall Two holds 1500, and is holding a lecture on computer programming. Using your logic, the lecturer assigned to Hall One should go over and give his zoology lecture in Hall Two to the people waiting to hear a computer programming lecture because there are more people there.

I am getting tired of the off-topic posts in this forum. Things such as this, questions about adding hard drives, requests for images, etc.. I have no interest in "hacking" my DirecTiVo, don't want to see posts about that sort of thing in this forum (since there are appropriate forums for these posts already).

Whenever I post a news story, I make sure it's in the correct forum, and I do a search for the past few days to make sure someone else hasn't already posted it. Duplicate posts are very annoying also.

No, we just like order. There are specific forums for specific subjects. Cast members being let go from a TV show has nothing at all to do with a DirecTV Receiver with TiVo. Here is the description from this forum:
quote:
What do you get when you cross the great platform of TiVo with the programming of DirecTV? Something like DirecTiVo! Here is the place to talk about it! (Note: No DSS Hacking talk will be allowed!)

here is the description from the Now Playing - TV Show Talk forum:
quote:
Talk about your favorite shows here!

And here is my reposted (since the original post was lost with the database rollback that happened early this morning) topic, in the correct forum:

Verdict's in on 'The Practice': Six Won't Return

We didn't look nearly as nutty before all of iceisle's subsequent posts in this thread were deleted. Now we just look like a bunch of raving loonies! :D

it's too bad the dufus didnt just delete this thread. he must feel like a total wacko now, but I'm sure he would hesitate twice to post a "Law and Order" post in the upgrade section either.

And now, ironically, we're not talking about TV in the TV forum.

I'm closing this thread. Please continue to talk about it in the existing thread.
