7 Days on TNN

Every time I watch this show I can't help to think "where are all the spheres and Mr. Parkers?"

Does anyone know if they ever explain what happens to Frank Parker in the past time line? I mean why doesn't he keep duplicating himself every time he backsteps? Why do they have to recover the sphere that they should already have, other than for security purposes?

I mostly enjoy the show, but these things keep playing on my mind every time I watch it!

In one episode I saw, it was clear that Mr. Parker and the Sphere displace the one in the backstep timeline. I remember Olga was on base and an alarm sounded so they knew that a backstep occurred. It just seemed like they were monitoring when the sphere disappeared more than anything.

They explained it on the first episode. The Sphere and Frank both dissappear from the new "backstepped" timeline as soon as the new ones appear.

In the first episode, after the first backstep, they are trying to figure out who the hell Frank Parker even was. During that conversation it was noted that he had been a prisoner on Hanson Island until a few days earlier when he had dissappeared.

It occured to me that only Frank ever remembers the pre-backstep process. Everyone looks so practiced at it but in their time-line, they've never had to do it. I should be the first time, every time (except for Frank).

Talk about a conundrum.

Hmmm I didn't realize this show was back on in reruns... just added the season past... although I think I saw them all the first time...

One of the things I really liked about 7 days is how they dealt with the time travel space problem... lets say you do time travel like Back to the Future, you're in a car or whatever and you go back in time... your at the same place on earth where you where just back in time... how can that happen? The Earth is no longer in the same spot! It's revolving and rotating... not to mention if you're going back (or forward) really far you have to worry about the galaxy rotating and the universe is expanding... the way 7 days handles it is nice because he's in space and has to land back on earth - which isn't too far away since it's only been 7 days.

I kept wondering if they'd ever let Donovan backstep. He WAS supposed to be Frank's backup, but he got ZERO "flight time"

Yes, a mere 11 million miles :D

I'd add a season pass for the show if it was someone other than TNN showing it.

Unless you consider that a mass in space bends both space and time, and that you might retain your velocity vector in space when travelling in time.

The way they depict it, Parker's playing the ball-and-cup game each time, except in reverse.

And I'm starting to think they backstep on the same day of the week each time, and that the display of the retreating weekdays surely would obscure his view of the needles he's trying to keep aligned.

(I missed the series when it was on UPN. Got cancelled before we got a channel on cable with any regular UPN programming. Still no true UPN station here.)

I'm amazed he actually makes ANY of his trips successfully. If you watch there is no way he keeps that lined up when he backsteps, he is all over the place. He should be in another galaxy by now probably.

Yes I hate it's on the alleged spike TV but I'm not going to let some 'bar' ruin my life.

Apparently he doesn't get totally lost as long as the needles stay on the screen. One episode had them flying completely off the viewscreen when Donovan was in the simulator.

They more they line up green, the more accurate the landing.

I just started watching this show last night! The first one I saw was the one where Parker steps back to save the princess.. prettty neat, some weak writing but overall pretty good. I'll have to get a SP up and running.

How long was 7 Days on for? I thought for only a season, but they appear to have more than 13 episodes.

3 seasons.

7 days used to rock, frank parker is a babe and that russian chick ain't too bad either :)

i just used home media option to submit the season pass, we'll see if tivo has a conflict in a few mins.

Just when I started to get into 7 days, boom it's gone. All SP recordings gone. No longer in the guide. IT looks like it's been replaced by some reality show.

Posted by: myriadian

i hadn't checked the seasonpass yesterday, it got added without any conflicts though.

that sucks if they've just dumped 7days, i won't even get to see 1 episode of it.

I think there is still 1 playing this week, but it conflicts with a better show.

Posted by: HTH

Last I checked it was still daily, but only at 1 AM CT. I've cancelled my pass though as I've seen every episode. Well, except for the last half of "Kansas" when the cable company decided to reprogram (and turn off) all the digital cable boxes again . Got a Wishlist set up for that one.

When they stopped showing it on July 24 was that the last episode? Next one shows 8/4
