FOX "Futurama" Heads Up!

I was checking my SP for FOX airings and to my surprise there's an episode titled "The Sting" scheduled for 6/1. It says it's a repeat, but I don't recall any episode centered around "bees". Enjoy!

I think that's one of those that aired in some places and not in others, due to Football.
I've changed my Season Pass to include repeats, just in case.

With the show now officially cancelled by Fox, they're likely to burn off the remaining eps this summer. Damn Fox...

It's odd that I don't recall it because my SP is set up through FOX-W out of LA(I'm a DirecTV subscriber & I qualify for FOX distants) in order to avoid the football conflicts. IF they air it maybe I'll remember it.

Sounds familiar to me and I am in the East.

Does anyone know when Cartoon Network will be able to show all the eps of Futurama? I worry less about pre-emption and willy-nilly showing on CN.

Finally figured it out, and for once, it's not the fault of football: Fox originally had this episode scheduled to air in April, but then they pulled it off the schedule a few days in advance. Looks like the "original air date" didn't get updated in the Tribune data.

It's definitely new.
I think it was the episode that was suppose to air to make the *gasp* 3 futurama episodes in as many weeks (the longest ever!).

May 25th: No Futurama (Nascar Race)
June 1st: Futurama The Sting
June 8th: Futurama The Farnsworth Parabox
ALSO: For the time being, Thursday the 24th of July will be the last airing of Futurama on Cartoon Network. The 11PM slot will be taken over by Home Movies then. Don't worry though, Futurama will return and the remaining episodes will air on Cartoon Network at some point, too. With 56 episode in their repertoire currently (72 minus the 16 McSeason 5 ones), they couldn't keep showing them over and over.
AND: Futurama video game info, too :)

Thanks Matt. I was wondering about the status w/ CN because I believe "Futurama" isn't scheduled for an airing tonight. I think it's pre-empted for a "Home Movies" premiere IIRC.

16 episodes in a season would be a great Futurama season - I've seen it air about 13-15 episodes normally!

It's amusing that the DVD sets are collected according to production schedule, not broadcast schedule, so there are only 4 seasons, with 13, 19, 22, and 18 episodes respectively. (The five broadcast seasons had 9, 20, 15, 12, and 16 episodes.)
Almost as if the creators (and Fox Video) are giving one last F.Y. to the Fox Network...

After cancelling Futurama - I hope they give the Fox Network an extra one for me.
