Did anyone watch Twilight Zone? (spoilers)

What did you think about the Aztec one?

I thought it was one of the better episodes of the season (series). I think this one would have fit in on the original series, unlike many of the other episodes; I could easily imagine Rod Serling holding up the lantern and doing the introduction at the beginning.

Ah, well, at the rate ideas get recycled these days, I assume there's going to be yet another "Twilight Zone" revival on CBS or UPN or another Viacom-owned network before the end of this decade.

I thought it was great that they were left wondering. Did they save Earth, or are they murderers?

Well, both! They saved the Earth by murdering somebody.

I found it strange that they would doubt what had happened, considering the precise timing of the sun going and coming, and the fact that the "explanation" on the radio was technobabble worthy of Star Trek, but chalked it up to guilty conscience. But if the writers intended it to be ambiguous, then the writers were morons.

The "explanation" WAS technobabble - but what if the timing WAS coincidense? Remember, she was their friend! And she very clearly didn't want to die! I think, if I had been in their shoes, I would have done exactly what they did, and when the radio announcment came, I would have told myself that I sacrificed one life to save billions. But there'd still be that voice in the back of my head whispering "what if"!

Well, I suppose it could be a coincidence if you find a 500-year-old urn with fresh blood in it and pictures of the sun going out, and you spill the blood, and suddenly the sun goes out, and you perform the ritual on the urn, and suddenly the sun comes back.

The fact that they suffer from guilty conscience doesn't mean there's the slightest chance that they're right. The ambiguity is entirely in their heads. Unless the writers are morons. (Which I doubt, but you never know.)

I'm going to miss the new TZ. I enjoyed most all of the episodes and I thought the finale was one of the better ones also. The first episode was great, Burned was okay. My favorite episode has to be Sensuous Cindy :) then the remake of Maple Street.

Unfortunately, it's been cancelled. Or at least that's what I've read.
