I am doing my own upgrade for the first time (Hinsdale did my first one!) and have just started. How the heck do I get the white plug (power supply, I think--twisty red, yellow, black) out of my original Tivo hard drive? Does it just pull out? It is so tight! Sorry for the lame question. Oh, it is an HDVR2.

Sometimes they are really tough to get out. I use a pocket screwdriver, inserted gently into the "socket" part to pry the "plug" part out. Pulling the wires will generally pull them out of their connectors, but gently prying the plugs apart is easy.
