I read today that 6 cast members are being written out. Which characters are getting axed and what do you think is going to be the explanation in each case??

From what I remember...

Bobby, Helen, Lindsey, Rebecca, Lucy and one other (probably Lindsey's assistant new girl) will not be back...from what I read, ABC told David Kelley he had to cut the shows cost in half...

So it looks like we got Eugene, Jimmy and Eleanor...along with the new blonde girl (Kate Capshaw's daughter) still around...

I saw that on Entertainment Tonight that the cast members were pretty much shocked that they were fired and he did that just to cut the budget. More discussion in this thread:

Yes, Chyler Leigh is the other one, Lindsay's associate Claire. At least she made it through more episodes on this show than she (or anyone, for that matter) did on "Girls Club." I would have to guess there were more than budgetary considerations with letting her go. Also, only a handful of the articles I've read have mentioned that there are actually 7 cast members gone, the 7th being Bill Smitrovich who plays A.D.A. Kenneth Walsh.

I'm still trying to decide whether the cast overhaul will be the reason I stop watching the show, or decide to continue watching the show despite the fact that I was hoping it would be cancelled.

Walsh is billed as a Guest Star, so they may have decided to just not have him Guest Star anymore. He isn't one of the regular cast members.

Why were you hoping it would be cancelled? If you don't like it, just don't watch it.
