Have they actually made the summit attempt yet? My Tivo was set to record something the other day but the data must have changed. I thought they were STUPID to try to show the summit attempt live. Everest is known for it's unpredictibility. You can't Schedule a summit attempt for TV.

No, they have been delayed until at least friday. Two have dropped out in
the last two weeks. Colleen and Ted.

The two who dropped out were Colleen and the other girl. Ted and Jesse are still there. The leader of the expedition also dropped out after sustaining a concussion rescuing some other people last week. This weekend has to be their last chance - I think most people's permits expire in about a week or so.
Funny note - one of the girls who was deemed not good enough to go with them (Tryntje) summitted last week with a different team. Guess she showed them ! :)

i was wondering about them too. I cancelled the
season pass I had after I came home one day
and saw it had scheduled EIGHT hours of live
coverage that turned out to be a bicycle race
since the summit attempt was canned.

They should have just canned the live attempt and done a nice show after the fact. It would have been better than watching people talk about it. They have not even shown any of the team since they have been up there.
