Has a launch date been announced for the new spot beam that will bring locals to Louisville, KY, etc? Last I heard, it was slated for "summertime" with no exact month indicated.

The only thing that has been announced, is that DirecTV 7S will be launched in the 4th quarter of this year (October - December timeframe).

Louisville, KY is scheduled to be available during the first half of this year. The locals will initially be available on an existing satellite, then will be moved to the new satellite once it is launched and put into operation later this year.
